DBT Counseling and Coaching Collective
DBT Counseling and Coaching Collective (C3) was birthed from Maribel's passion to bring quality care with a proven modality such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. DBT C3, specializes in treating and supporting individuals, adolescents, and families who suffer from depression, anxiety, BPD and other psychological disorders.
Maribel and her team are excited about working with anyone ready to figure out how to live as the best version of themselves; whether it is finding freedom from trauma, depression, anxiety, transition, parenting challenges, BPD or other psychological disorders.

What is DBT?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals struggling with chronic and severe emotional dysregulation. Originally developed to treat Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), DBT has proven effective for a range of challenges, including:
-
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-
Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder
-
Substance Use Disorders
-
Bipolar Disorder
-
Other conditions involving intense emotions
DBT works by balancing acceptance and change, empowering clients to manage emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience. Research consistently affirms DBT as the gold standard treatment for BPD, with up to 85% of individuals achieving remission when they receive comprehensive DBT.

Who Can Benefit from DBT?
DBT is especially helpful for individuals who:
-
Struggle with emotional regulation
-
Experience self-harm or suicidal thoughts
-
Live with BPD
-
Face relationship challenges or intense interpersonal conflict
-
Seek skills for creating emotional balance and improving their quality of life
Untreated emotional dysregulation and BPD can lead to poor outcomes, including frequent hospitalizations, co-occurring substance or eating disorders, and high suicide risk. DBT provides a path toward lasting change and recovery.

What to Expect from DBT
DBT helps you build a foundation for emotional stability through four key skill areas:
-
Mindfulness: Learn to live in the present moment and develop greater self-awareness
-
Distress Tolerance: Manage emotional crises with healthier coping strategies
-
Emotional Regulation: Understand and effectively manage your emotions
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strengthen relationships and improve communication
During sessions, you will engage in practical exercises, reflective discussions, and actionable steps to integrate these skills into your daily life. DBT provides a structured yet compassionate framework to help you move forward with hope and confidence.

DBT Approach
We deliver DBT in a structured and supportive way, tailoring the therapy to meet your unique needs using trauma-informed care. Our approach includes these four core components of DBT:
-
DBT Skills Training Group: A group setting where you will learn practical skills for mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
-
Individual Therapy: Personalized sessions focused on applying DBT skills to your specific challenges and life circumstances.
-
Phone Coaching: Access to real-time guidance for applying DBT skills during moments of crisis or emotional distress.
-
Consultation Team: We collaborate with other professionals to ensure high-quality care.
For adolescents, a DBT Multi-Family Skills Group may replace the DBT Skills Group to involve families in the therapeutic process.
